About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Buckner Retirement Services Community: Calder Woods in Beaumont, TX.

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in implementing resident care management and providing direct nursing care to ensure the highest quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate implementation of individual health care plans, administering or supervising treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Maintain compliance with all Buckner policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Make meaningful rounds of all residents, utilizing health care plans, and accurately record visits on charts.
  • Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections; perform in-house testing procedures; take and record vital signs.
  • Assist in maintaining current health care plans according to a schedule rotation and documenting acute episodes or significant changes in resident status.
  • Supervise aides in the performance of their duties by monitoring work, assigning tasks, and specifying break times and special duties.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of one year of related experience in long-term care.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold current Texas nursing licensure.
  • Previous experience in long-term care is preferred.
  • PRN status requires employees to work a minimum of 2 shifts every 60 days to maintain employment.
  • Requires proficient ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Work schedules, assignments, and units may vary based on facility needs.
  • Ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds continuously to move food service and preparation equipment and other objects.
  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, stand, and walk over 75% of shift.

Educational Requirements:
A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing is required. Must hold and maintain current Texas nursing licensure and complete any training or certification required by Buckner and the State of Texas.
