Job Summary:
H.B. Fuller is seeking a Production Operator - Chemical Mixing to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing entry-level production tasks, including preparation of raw materials and packaging, operating processing equipment, and monitoring equipment to ensure optimal run rates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and Packaging: Identify and prepare raw materials and packaging, ensuring accurate quantities and transporting them to the appropriate production area. Report any deviations from normal procedures and note start and finish times.
- Equipment Operation: Operate processing equipment in accordance with process instructions and procedures.
- Quality Control: Complete initial testing and release of products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Packaging and Labeling: Check labels and packaging material for accuracy and ensure correct labeling following established rules and instructions.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to H.B. Fuller's quality standards and operating procedures.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as requested by the Production Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Education: Basic educational degree or high school diploma or general education diploma.
- Experience: No prior experience required.
- Software Skills: Knowledge of common software programs, including MS Office.
- Communication: Ability to read and understand work orders, production processes, safety regulations, and quality procedures and instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industrial Experience: 1 year of experience in an industrial environment.
Physical Environment:
- Physical Demands: Required to stand for long periods, walk, climb stairs, use hands to remove or lift boxes, stretch and reach with arms extended, stoop and bend, regularly lift up to 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Work Environment: Temperature, dust, smell, and noise are typical in a chemical environment.
Compensation:
The salary for this role is $24/hour. In addition to your salary, H.B. Fuller offers a competitive total rewards package, including comprehensive benefits, incentive and recognition programs, health and wellness benefits, 401K contributions, paid time off, and paid holidays. Eligibility may vary.
