About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Instructor to join our Workforce Development team at Bunker Hill Community College. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and instructing students in culinary programs, teaching essential skills required to pass ServSafe and other culinary instructional programs in English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver culinary instruction to students in Workforce Development programs
  • Teach culinary skills and knowledge to students, with a focus on passing ServSafe and other culinary certifications
  • Ensure the organization and cleanliness of kitchen facilities, as directed
  • Manage the certification process and online portals for certificates and renewal
  • Support student learning through virtual or on-site availability
  • Collaborate with leadership and staff to plan and offer programs in Workforce Development or community education
  • Coordinate with faculty and staff in other divisions to manage space usage and materials
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of culinary experience in a back-of-the-house setting
  • Relevant certifications for teaching, such as ServSafe Instructor certification
  • Industry-standard culinary degree or certificate, and/or a Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred
  • Teaching experience preferred
