Position Overview:

We are in search of enthusiastic adjunct faculty members to contribute to the Hospitality Department. The role involves teaching courses that emphasize practical skills and theoretical knowledge in culinary arts.


Course Details:

CUL-211 Menu Design and Purchasing (In-person, Thursdays, 2:30pm-3:45pm)

This course focuses on the significance of the menu as a foundational element in food and beverage management. It explores how the menu influences various operational aspects, including recipe development, inventory management, cost control, and service design. Students will engage in creating comprehensive menus while mastering essential costing methods and purchasing techniques.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts or an Associate Degree in Culinary with relevant professional experience.
  • Proven ability to instruct and demonstrate professional service and sanitation practices.
  • Dedication to promoting equity and accessibility in educational settings.
  • Preferred experience in college-level teaching, particularly within community colleges.
  • Demonstrated capability to engage with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
  • ServSafe certification is required.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards in kitchen and food safety practices.

Compensation:

Salary: $1,397.00 per credit hour. The interview process will include an on-site practical assessment.
