Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Colorist Assistant to join our team at Madison Reed Hair Color Bar. As a Colorist Assistant, you will play a key role in providing exceptional guest experiences and supporting our licensed colorists in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed colorists in providing hair color services, including shampooing, conditioning, and styling.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of Madison Reed's products and services, including color theory and application techniques.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring that every guest feels valued and supported throughout their experience.
  • Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and other key performance indicators, including retail sales and services.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company standards and protocols.

Requirements:

  • Active cosmetology license in the state of employment.
  • Entry-level experience in customer service or retail sales, preferably in the salon or beauty industry.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable operating point-of-sale systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Fluency in English.

Physical Demands: This role requires regular standing, walking, and bending, as well as the ability to lift up to 10 pounds. May occasionally sit, kneel, stoop, crouch, and lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds. Additionally, team members will communicate regularly with guests via ongoing conversations and consultations.
