Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor of Coding to join our team at Renown Health. As a key member of our Health Information Management department, you will be responsible for overseeing the coding operations, ensuring accurate and timely coding, and providing leadership and guidance to our coding staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of coders, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely coding
  • Develop and implement coding policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular audits and quality assurance reviews to ensure coding accuracy and consistency
  • Provide education and training to coding staff on new coding guidelines and regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely coding and reimbursement
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a managerial capacity in health information management
  • 2-4 years of facility or professional coding experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a credential recognized by AHIMA or AAPC
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (HER) software
