IT Security Engineer

As an IT Security Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement security capabilities and assist in the implementation of solutions and strategies to complex challenges, adhering to the NIST framework.
  • Analyze security events received through native platforms, third-party, or internal reporting sources.
  • Work closely with the Governance Risk and Compliance team to provide analysis of external and internal risk assessments.
  • Manage a suite of IT security tools, including Threat Intelligence Platforms, Attack Surface Management, and Vulnerability Management.
  • Utilize automation tools to analyze threat information and verify, alert, and respond to potential risks to CMG.
  • Evangelize IT security fundamentals, tools, processes, and act as a consultative partner with IT and Business teams.
  • Perform IT security assessments and remediation activities as part of the IT security organization and ensure CMG teams adhere to the NIST Framework.
  • Provide security guidance through project participation, working cross-functionally with all departments that have security impacts to CMG.
  • Guide and perform security activities, including vulnerability testing and analysis, design and implementation of new solutions/features, and investigation into security events.
  • Make recommendations on toolset and process modifications and make improvements within production IT Security support.
  • Participate in documentation and adherence to Security Policies and Operating Procedures.
  • Participate as a key member in security incident response activities as well as daily Security Operational tasks.
Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Information Technology, a related field, and/or equivalent experience and training preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Security Engineering or a similar field.
  • Relevant trainings and certifications preferred (CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, etc.).
  • Functional knowledge of event logging, parsing, and orchestration.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Skilled at performing IT security-focused application/environment design reviews.
  • Experience using common security testing tools and techniques to perform a variety of security assessments across multiple platforms with significant expertise in either web or mobile penetration testing.
  • Knowledgeable regarding incorporating security requirements into a SDLC.
  • Design and implementation experience in Security solutions.
  • Experience in technical writing, and ability to present information.
