About the Role

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a highly skilled IT Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our security organization, you will be responsible for implementing security capabilities, assisting in the implementation of solutions and strategies to complex challenges, and adhering to the NIST framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a suite of IT security tools, including Threat Intelligence Platforms, Attack Surface Management, and Vulnerability Management, to provide controls that support our security policies.
  • Utilize automation tools to analyze threat information from multiple tools, verify, alert, and respond to potential risks to CMG.
  • Evangelize IT security fundamentals, tools, processes, and act as a consultative partner with IT and Business teams.
  • Perform IT security assessments and remediation activities as part of the IT security organization and ensure CMG teams adhere to the NIST Framework.
  • Provide security guidance through project participation, working cross-functionally with all departments that have security impacts to CMG.
  • Guide and perform security activities, including vulnerability testing and analysis, design and implementation of new solutions/features, and investigation into security events.
  • Make recommendations on toolset and process modifications and make improvements within production IT Security support.
  • Participate in documentation and adherence to Security Policies and Operating Procedures.
  • Participate as a key member in security incident response activities as well as daily Security Operational tasks.
Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Information Technology, a related field, and/or equivalent experience and training preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Security Engineering or a similar field.
  • Relevant trainings and certifications preferred (CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, etc.).
  • Functional knowledge of event logging, parsing, and orchestration.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Skilled at performing IT security-focused application/environment design reviews.
  • Experience using common security testing tools and techniques to perform a variety of security assessments across multiple platforms with significant expertise in either web or mobile penetration testing.
  • Knowledgeable regarding incorporating security requirements into a SDLC.
  • Design and implementation experience in Security solutions.
  • Experience in technical writing, and ability to present information.
