Job Title: Director or Assistant Vice President, Building Consulting

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Building Consulting team as a Director or Assistant Vice President. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual with a strong background in property damage evaluation and a proven track record of success in the restoration, insurance, and remediation field.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7+ years of estimating experience and a strong understanding of Xactimate, Symbility, RS Means, or other estimating software. They will be responsible for estimating medium to large commercial and residential projects, documenting and reviewing project files, and providing technical direction to other consultants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with clients and project representatives to understand project requirements and scope of work.
  • Schedule and perform field inspections to evaluate damage and scope of work.
  • Estimate projects using Xactimate and other estimating software.
  • Document and review project files, including schedules, contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
  • Provide technical direction to other consultants and support their files.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers to develop new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in the restoration industry, with a strong background in estimating and project management.
  • Proficiency in Xactimate, Symbility, RS Means, or other estimating software.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, project representatives, and team members.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or associate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • IICRC related degrees, credentials, or certifications.
  • RRC, PMP, and other certifications.
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required by the work site.
  • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
  • Able to climb ladders to reach high areas or roofs.
  • Must be able to write reports of findings after inspections 50% of day-to-day duties.
  • May be exposed to UV radiation from the sun, radon, or other forms of air pollution.
  • Must be able to be on call or work weekends or nights.
  • Willingness to travel – locally, regionally, and for CAT response when needed.
