Position Title: Part-Time Retail Consultant at adidas

Objective:

Support customers in identifying the products and services that align with their preferences and interests. Drive merchandise sales by achieving or surpassing productivity benchmarks. Stay informed about product specifications, promotional activities, and advertising initiatives. Manage inventory effectively while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsible for accurate and thorough sales transactions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Guide customers in selecting adidas products, providing insights into materials, technology, and functionality.
  • Uphold adidas customer service standards by attentively addressing customer needs and offering relevant product information.
  • Enhance sales performance by applying adidas selling techniques and utilizing the in-store AOS system when available.
  • Process customer transactions accurately (cash, credit, debit, etc.).
  • Maintain the store's visual appeal, assist in merchandise processing and replenishment, and address customer service inquiries.

Possess a thorough understanding of adidas products and initiatives, including technology, product details, promotional activities, and advertising.

Foster a collaborative team environment by respecting colleagues.

Adhere to adidas brand values and Sales Associate competencies.

Assist with phone-related tasks.

Comply with company policies and procedures regarding inventory management.

Perform additional duties as assigned by store management.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate and consistently exhibit the competencies relevant to the role.
  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions, brief correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to compose simple correspondence.
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and colleagues.
  • Competent in basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Apply common sense to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
  • Address problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Utilize a point of sale system and have a fundamental understanding of cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as well as overtime during peak sales periods.

While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, communicate, and hear. The employee frequently walks, uses hands for various tasks, reaches, climbs, and may need to lift or move items weighing up to 34 kg.

Proficiency in English and French (both verbal and written) is required.

Minimum Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred. Previous retail experience of three to six months is advantageous.
