Job Summary

Zufall Health Center is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Representative to join our team. As a Patient Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional service and support to ensure a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets Patients and Visitors: Welcomes patients and visitors to the facility, directing them to their appropriate destination.
  • Answers Telephone Calls: Responds to incoming calls, making appointments or providing information as needed.
  • Registers Patients: Completes patient registration, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and processed.
  • Conducts Eligibility Checks: Verifies patient insurance eligibility and collects payments as necessary.
  • Supports Clinical Staff: Communicates with medical staff regarding patient visits and provides support as needed.
  • Maintains Confidentiality: Ensures patient confidentiality is maintained in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma: Required; college credit or additional education in a medical field or insurance and billing courses preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, with 1 year of experience in collecting money or billing and insurance.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual English and Spanish required.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and electronic medical records.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
