Job Summary

Zufall Health Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Representative to join our team. As a Patient Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets Patients and Visitors: Provide a warm and friendly welcome to patients and visitors, directing them to their appropriate destination.
  • Answers Telephone Calls: Respond to incoming calls, making appointments or addressing inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Registers Patients: Ensure that patients bring all necessary documentation and completes registration processes as needed.
  • Explains Processes and Forms: Clearly explains our services and processes to patients, including eligibility checks and payment procedures.
  • Collects Payments: Collects payments from patients, enters payments into our electronic system, and provides receipts as required.
  • Communicates with Medical Staff: Coordinates with medical staff regarding patient visits and ensures seamless communication.
  • Maintains Confidentiality: Maintains the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and Zufall Health Center policies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma: Required; college credit or additional education in a medical field or insurance and billing courses preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service role, with 1 year of experience in collecting money or billing and insurance.
  • Bilingual Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and electronic medical records software.
