Job Description

BMO US is seeking a seasoned Risk Management Leader to join our Consumer Risk team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing independent risk oversight of our consumer lending businesses in the US.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer risk management, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective risk management strategies. You will work closely with our business leaders to ensure that our risk management framework is aligned with our business objectives and that we are meeting our risk appetite.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing independent risk oversight of our consumer lending businesses in the US
  • Developing and implementing effective risk management strategies
  • Working closely with business leaders to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Providing regular reporting and updates to senior management

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of consumer risk management principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. If you are a motivated and experienced risk management professional looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of consumer risk management experience
  • 10+ years of experience in line relationship/transactional credit and consumer underwriting
  • 10+ years of managing a team of highly analytical, quantitative and technical resources
  • Credit qualified

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters/PhD level quantitative degree
  • Advanced knowledge of consumer Basel and regulatory compliance
  • Expert knowledge of credit methodology, risk-return optimization and capital management
