Job Summary:

The Used Car Manager oversees sales and inventory of previously owned vehicles, responsible for prospecting, appraising, and acquiring vehicles for resale.

The position involves managing dealership inventory, developing the workforce to ensure customer satisfaction, and collaborating with various departments to maintain inventory accuracy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through devoted service.
  • Determine and manage product quality requirements.
  • Attend and participate in company meetings as required.
  • Maintain a follow-up system for required duties and projects.
  • Establish personal performance goals aligned with company standards of productivity.
  • Analyze actions with the team to determine how to better utilize time and resources.
  • Stay current with business terminology and technological changes in products and services.
  • Understand and follow company procedures, as well as federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Uphold the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
  • Work evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required.
  • Learn and utilize required programs for managing dealership inventory.
  • Work with customers and auctions for buying and selling pre-owned vehicles.
  • Maintain required logs and communications with departments.
  • Use procedures to facilitate sales department profitability.
  • Facilitate the customer buying process from start to finish.
  • Supervise and run operations involving used vehicles.
  • Meet budgeted revenue and expense goals.
  • Devising appropriate forecasts and creating processes for accurate paperwork.

  • Basic computer skills and office machine proficiency.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Ability to work well with customers and present a friendly, helpful attitude.
  • Authorized to work in the USA.
  • Ability to perform duties in a safe manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Diligence and punctuality.
  • Multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
  • Great communication skills.
