Job Summary

The Physician Assistant will work with our Interventional Spine Physician to evaluate and develop treatment plans for patients suffering from acute and/or chronic spine and joint pain and dysfunction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examines patients, obtains medical histories, and assesses health status.
  • Provides chronic patient care, including taking histories, performing physical examinations, monitoring therapies, and prescribing medications.
  • Triages patient calls and evaluates patient problems.
  • Evaluates and assesses patients independently under physician supervision and orders interventional procedures as indicated.
  • Documents patient information and care provided in the patient record.
  • Educates patients and families as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited physician assistant (PA) program.
  • A valid unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Arizona, with no pending disciplinary actions or restrictions.
  • DEA and CPR (BLS and ACLS) certification required upon hire.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a physician assistant in a clinic or hospital.
