This role is pivotal in supporting the design and modernization of structures within various industrial environments. Key responsibilities encompass the analysis and intricate design of both steel and concrete frameworks, preparation of engineering cost assessments, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical and electrical engineers.
The Senior Engineer will conduct site evaluations, assess design limitations, and address construction-related challenges. This is a full-time opportunity, with potential for relocation and a flexible hybrid work schedule.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $180,000 annually, contingent upon qualifications, expertise, and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering Application: Develop structural designs adhering to relevant building and material codes, assess existing structures, and recommend enhancements.
- Design Coordination: Execute calculations, liaise with other engineering disciplines, review technical drawings, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Construction Oversight: Evaluate shop drawings, engage in project meetings, conduct site inspections, analyze testing reports, and provide necessary construction support.
- Project Management: Define project scope, prepare budget and schedule estimates, monitor project advancement, and advise on resource allocation.
- Leadership Development: Guide structural engineering staff, act as a subject matter expert, and mentor junior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Experience in industrial and manufacturing environments.
- Mandatory registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE).
- Proficient in MS Office, MathCAD, SAP 2000, SAFE, AutoCAD, PIP, ACI, ASCE-7, and IBC.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for client-related projects.
