Credentialing Specialist

At Birdi, Inc., we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our Legal and Compliance department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation, completion, and submission of government, managed care, and pharmacy network provider credentialing and contracting application packages.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and organize data required for credentialing and contracting applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness before submission.
- Prepare and submit credentialing and contracting applications in a timely manner, ensuring all required documentation is included.
- Collaborate with staff members to gather necessary information and documentation, providing guidance and support to ensure all required materials are obtained.
- Monitor the status of applications and provide regular updates to relevant business owners, identifying and addressing any issues or delays in the process.
- Conduct follow-up activities and outreach with in-network commercial and Medicaid payors to determine provider enrollment/recredentialing status as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on credentialing and contracting applications, processes, and requirements of government and health plan/Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-related software programs.
- Maintaining confidentiality of information and data to comply with confidentiality policies.
- Monitoring, managing, and maintaining shared mailboxes for the Legal and Compliance department.
- Demonstrating superior organizational skills, priority setting, accomplishing work independently and reliably, and employing multi-task management.
The successful candidate will work in a home-based office environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues. Occasional local and/or overnight travel may be required, including exposure to heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
