Position Overview:

We are in search of a proactive Senior Accountant to become a vital part of our finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Accountant will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Overseeing and directing the general accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance.
  • Conducting thorough financial analysis and reporting on fiscal performance.
  • Ensuring adherence to all GAAP standards.
  • Assisting in the formulation and execution of accounting procedures and policies to safeguard the financial stability of the organization.
  • Collaborating with external auditors by supplying necessary documentation and information.
  • Monitoring and assessing financial performance and profitability metrics.
  • Engaging in the budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion with all financial data.
  • Providing strategic insights regarding capital financing options to facilitate company growth.
  • Developing and tracking business performance indicators.
  • Coordinating with tax advisors and managing tax documentation.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. An advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience within the construction sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in major accounting software, including QuickBooks and SAP.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and navigate through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High integrity and reliability with a strong sense of urgency and results-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and creative thinking skills.
