Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Senior Phlebotomist to join our team at Cynet Systems in Liverpool, NY. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood samples for testing and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process blood samples from patients using a variety of techniques, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
  • Label and store specimens according to established procedures to ensure accurate and timely testing.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff to ensure smooth and efficient sample collection.
  • Maintain accurate records of sample collection and processing, including patient information and test results.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate testing and reporting of results.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest laboratory procedures and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of New York.
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory information systems.
  • High School Diploma or GED and 2-4 years of experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Phlebotomy experience with children and adults.
  • Experience with hard sticks and needles.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with excellent communication skills.
