We are in search of an Agile Coach within our Global Specialty Insurance IT team who can assist in advancing our organization's Agile practices.

As an Agile Coach, your responsibilities will include coaching and mentoring individuals, teams, and leaders, nurturing an Agile mindset, and facilitating ongoing improvement.

You will play a vital role in aligning Agile methodologies with our organizational objectives and enhancing team performance.

The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of Agile frameworks, exceptional coaching and facilitation abilities, and a passion for driving organizational transformation.

Your Role

Leadership in Agile Transformation:
Lead and propel the organization's Agile transformation initiatives, including the adoption of Agile principles, values, and practices.
Collaborate with leadership to establish a clear vision and roadmap for Agile implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Provide guidance and support to teams, managers, and stakeholders to help them embrace Agile values and practices.
Advocate for continuous improvement, innovation, and the elimination of organizational barriers that hinder Agile adoption.

Coaching and Mentoring in Agile:
Coach and mentor individuals, teams, and executive leaders on Agile principles, methodologies, and practices.
Guide teams in adopting and optimizing Agile frameworks, such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean, tailored to their specific needs and context.
Conduct workshops, training sessions, and Agile ceremonies to enhance team collaboration, transparency, and performance.
Support Agile teams in effectively planning, executing, and delivering high-quality products or services.

Enhancement of Processes and Practices:
Create and maintain documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing, consulting, and training.
Collaborate with teams to continuously refine Agile processes, practices, and tools.
Identify and implement strategies to boost team productivity, predictability, and overall performance.
Facilitate the adoption of Agile engineering practices, such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated testing.
Encourage the use of Agile metrics and data-driven insights to support decision-making and foster continuous improvement.

Collaboration and Alignment with Stakeholders:
Foster collaboration and effective communication among stakeholders, including business owners, product owners, and development teams.
Facilitate workshops and meetings to ensure shared understanding, alignment, and prioritization of Agile initiatives and deliverables.
Guide product owners in refining product backlogs, managing priorities, and maximizing customer value.
Assist in resolving conflicts and removing obstacles that hinder the team's progress and success.

Promotion of Agile Culture and Mindset:
Promote an Agile culture and mindset across the organization through workshops, coaching sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Encourage experimentation, learning, and the adoption of Agile values, such as transparency, inspection, and adaptation.
Support the establishment and nurturing of Agile communities of practice and forums for knowledge exchange.

Definition and Tracking of KPIs:
Collaborate with teams to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) that align with Agile principles and organizational goals.
Develop measurement frameworks and systems to track and monitor Agile KPIs and OKRs.
Analyze and interpret KPI data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
Provide guidance to teams on utilizing KPIs and OKRs to measure progress, drive accountability, and promote continuous improvement.
Regularly report on the performance of Agile initiatives, KPIs, and OKRs to stakeholders and senior management.

Successful candidates will possess the following skills and capabilities:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
Extensive experience working as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or in a similar capacity.
Strong knowledge and expertise in Agile methodologies, frameworks, and practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, TDD, Lean).
Proven track record in driving successful Agile transformations and guiding teams to effectively adopt Agile practices.
Excellent coaching, facilitation, and mentoring skills, with the ability to adapt to various team dynamics and organizational cultures.
Strong servant leadership abilities, inspiring and motivating teams towards continuous improvement.
Sound understanding of Agile engineering practices and the software development lifecycle.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, effectively collaborating with diverse stakeholders with varying technical expertise levels.
Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and tenaciously forge a path for delivery resulting in successful outcomes.
Experience in defining and tracking KPIs and OKRs in an Agile context is highly desirable.

Agile certifications such as Professional Agile Leadership (PALI), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPOI, PSPOII, PSMOIII), Professional Scrum Master (PSMI, PSMII, PSMIII), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are highly desirable.
