Job Description
Silver Hill Hospital, a renowned psychiatric hospital, seeks a dedicated Residential Counselor to work within our residential programs. As a Residential Counselor, you will contribute to creating a secure and supportive environment that fosters growth and independence among patients.
Estimated Salary: Approximately $50,000 - $65,000 annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Admission Process Management: Safeguard patients' safety and well-being during the admission process, maintaining a secure and therapeutic environment.
- Patient Engagement: Encourage active participation in treatment plans and identify potential barriers to progress.
- Medication Monitoring: Accurately record medication administration and promptly report any discrepancies or concerns.
- Collaboration: Maintain open communication with treatment teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Skill Coaching: Deliver targeted coaching to enhance patients' skill development and empowerment.
- Record Keeping: Ensure precise, timely documentation of patient activities, including shift reports and discharge summaries.
Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field.
- Previous experience working in behavioral health settings, beneficial but not required.
- CPR BLS certification obtained upon employment and prior to patient care duties.
