Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to enhance our financial operations at Quintillion Networks. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of our financial data and compliance with accounting standards.

Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and oversee critical functions within our accounting department. This includes managing Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), journal entries, and maintaining the general ledger. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering precise financial reports and supporting the fiscal health of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain comprehensive vendor and customer records, along with the general ledger, utilizing QuickBooks across various subsidiaries.
  • Oversee accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and debt amortization schedules.
  • Generate and distribute monthly customer invoices; perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheets and bank accounts.
  • Review, process, and accurately code vendor invoices; manage payments through checks, wire transfers, and ACH.
  • Record weekly bank transactions, credit card transactions, cash receipts, and intercompany transactions.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to prepare payroll journal entries and necessary documentation.
  • Assist in the monthly closing process and execute month-end journal entries.
  • Support year-end activities, including 1099 preparation and W-9 management.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and process checklists, maintaining compliance with established policies.
  • Engage in special projects such as audits, data analysis, and account reconciliations.
  • Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting, along with other ad hoc reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

Education: An Associate's degree in Accounting with 3-5 years of relevant experience is required; a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 5+ years is preferred.

Experience:

  • Strong preference for candidates with prior experience as a full-charge bookkeeper.
  • 2-5 years of experience in general accounting, demonstrating a solid understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is essential.

Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; intermediate skills in MS Word and Outlook.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and the capacity to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, showcasing initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and the capacity to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
