Aegis Worldwide is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the procurement team, the successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently procuring materials and services at the lowest cost while prioritizing considerations such as quality, safety, environmental impact, and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the purchasing field and be proficient in SAP and computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the following key areas:

Supply Chain Management

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for addressing and resolving supply chain issues with all suppliers for both production and non-production goods and services.

Communication and Coordination

The Procurement Specialist will act as a key contact for all purchasing matters, facilitating communication within the procurement team and with external suppliers.

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for acquiring quotes from vendors for various teams, including production, maintenance, shipping/receiving, and office.

Cost Savings Objectives

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for achieving yearly production and non-production material cost savings objectives.

Purchase Order Management

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for issuing SAP BANFs and purchase orders after necessary approvals.

The Procurement Specialist will conduct negotiations with suppliers for the company.

Logistics and Asset Management

The Procurement Specialist will work closely with shipping/receiving on goods receipt discrepancies and proof of deliveries (PODs).

The Procurement Specialist will assist finance and logistics with asset tagging and verifications.

Inbound Deliveries and Coordination

The Procurement Specialist will schedule, organize, and track inbound deliveries while maintaining communication with the requisitioner.

Regulatory Compliance

The Procurement Specialist will ensure compliance with all state, federal, environmental, safety, and hazardous waste regulations.

Data Management

The Procurement Specialist will manage required supplier data in AS400, SAP, DOXiS, and other systems.

The Procurement Specialist will collaborate with accounts payable to assure timely supplier payments and resolve invoicing issues.

Problem Resolution and Support

The Procurement Specialist will investigate and resolve materials or purchasing-related issues with plants and suppliers.

The Procurement Specialist will support the MP&L team as required.
