Job Title: Resident Care Director

The German Home, a non-profit 31-bed level IV Rest Home, is seeking a Resident Care Director to lead our Resident Care/Nursing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of care and quality of life for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement resident care plans to ensure residents remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.
  • Coordinate resident care to ensure residents receive the necessary support and services.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to assist residents and their families in maintaining the physical and emotional health of the residents.
  • Conduct resident assessments, develop and implement service plans, and communicate these outcomes with resident and/or family members upon admission and on-going.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Public Health (DPH) regulations and monitor improvements.
Requirements:
  • RN or LPN certification from an accredited college or university.
  • Currently licensed/registered in the applicable State.
  • Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing throughout employment.
  • Management experience directing employees.
  • Proficient computer skills, including email, MS Office, and adaptability to other programs.
  • CPR certification upon hire, or obtain during orientation, and maintain current during employment.
  • First Aid certification (if required by State).
Working Conditions:
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Physically able to bend, reach, and work in small areas.
  • Physically able to push and pull equipment and furnishings.
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods of time.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
Experience:
  • Microsoft Office: 2 years (required).
  • Management: 3 years (preferred).
