Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Quail Park. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Personal Care Assistance: Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and ambulation, as specified in residents' individual service plans.
  • Socialization and Engagement: Engage residents in meaningful conversation and socialization while providing personal care assistance.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, and social condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and report promptly to a licensed nurse and/or supervisor.
  • Documentation and Communication: Complete all forms to include but not limited to incident reports, and written and computerized documentation, as necessary for communication of resident information with other members of the Resident Care Team and with the licensed nurses, Executive Director.
  • Meal Service and Housekeeping: Assist with resident meal times in dining room, serves meals in accordance with proper serving technique and ensures that food is presented in an attractive manner as needed. Make resident beds, empties apartment trash, and tidies resident apartment daily and as needed or requested.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting preferred but not required.
  • Certifications and Credentials: Must maintain current CPR/First Aid credentials, Must maintain current Food Handlers credentials, and Must maintain annual Continuing Education Credits.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members, and team members. Must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other team members.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Health-Related Requirements: Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure. Subject to pre-employment screening TB testing and criminal background check.
