POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is integral to the efficient operation of our parking facility, focusing on a range of supportive tasks that ensure a seamless experience for our customers. Responsibilities include customer interaction, financial transactions, vehicle management, and maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the garage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the facility manager in daily operations of the parking garage.
- Perform cashier duties as required.
- Assist patrons with automated revenue control systems, including ticket dispensers and payment stations.
- Compile daily sales reports and manage bank deposits when operating the fee computer.
- Collect and categorize parking ticket transactions on a daily basis.
- Maintain and stock all revenue control equipment.
- Conduct janitorial tasks to uphold the cleanliness of the facility, including light maintenance such as changing bulbs and cleaning restrooms.
- Park and relocate vehicles in valet service areas.
- Perform snow removal tasks, including shoveling and operating snow removal equipment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Flexibility to work various shifts.
- Ability to learn and operate revenue control equipment.
- Experience in facility maintenance and upkeep.
- Proficient in logging information and performing quick, accurate mathematical calculations.
- Capability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Familiarity with record-keeping practices.
- Understanding of personnel policies and procedures.
- Proficient in using calculators and fee computers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and sound judgment in diverse situations.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with the public and colleagues.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Experience operating light equipment such as snow throwers.
- Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Candidates should possess at least one year of relevant work experience and six months of experience using a personal computer, along with a solid foundation in customer service.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT:
- Proof of residency within the city is required, and candidates must maintain residency throughout their employment.
