Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Commonwealth Pain and Spine. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients and healthcare providers in delivering compassionate and effective care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform triage duties, including taking vital signs and completing designated areas of the electronic medical record.
- Coordinate blood thinner medications and post-op pain management with cardiologists and surgeons.
- Monitor provider buckets in Athena and ensure accurate patient information is entered into the EMR system.
- Prepare evaluation and procedure rooms for patient encounters and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist providers with pain procedures and care for patients in recovery.
- Provide exceptional customer service and establish effective working relationships with staff, co-workers, and patients.
- Exceptional customer service skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to quickly and accurately type notes into the EMR system.
- Strong computer and phone skills, with the ability to navigate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Advanced knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance policies, including HIPAA.
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and positively influence others.
