Job Overview

AMECO is seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Technician to contribute to our distribution operations. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of warehouse functions that encompass the receipt, shipment, storage, and distribution of products, as well as maintaining overall warehouse organization. Given the collaborative nature of our team, reliability is essential, including the willingness to work additional hours when necessary. This position operates during the day shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Stocking:

  • Verify product counts against packing lists.
  • Accurately receive inventory using RF scanning technology and established protocols.
  • Document and report any shortages or damages.
  • Organize and prepare items for stocking or shipping.
  • Load and unload products according to delivery instructions.
  • Ensure correct placement of stock in designated locations.
  • Rotate and replenish inventory as needed.

Order Picking and Packing:

  • Utilize RF scanning equipment to accurately pull orders by confirming location and item numbers.
  • Achieve a minimum productivity rate of 20 lines per hour.
  • Stage orders in designated areas for various shipping methods.
  • Report any inventory discrepancies to supervisory staff for further investigation.

Additional Duties:

  • Complete necessary documentation related to inventory management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety within the warehouse environment.
  • Implement measures to safeguard warehouse contents from damage or loss.
  • Foster positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-train to support colleagues in various warehouse functions as needed.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections prior to usage.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
  • Ensure workspaces are organized and secure.
  • Uphold AMECO's standards for productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities as required.

Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely.
  • Familiarity with barcode scanning and computer systems.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Dependable with a strong attendance record.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Certifications: Previous certification for operating forklifts and stock pickers is required.

Physical Demands: This role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Employees will engage in various physical activities including standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive motions throughout the workday.

Work Environment: The position is situated in a warehouse setting, requiring both independent work and teamwork. Employees may experience varying environmental conditions, including temperature fluctuations and noise.

Travel/Other Requirements: Availability for after-hours emergency calls and overtime as needed based on workload.
