Job Overview

AMECO is seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Technician to contribute to our distribution operations. In this role, you will play a vital part in the effective and precise execution of various warehouse tasks associated with the receipt, shipment, storage, and distribution of products, as well as maintaining overall warehouse organization. Reliability is essential in our close-knit team, and the ability to work overtime may be required. This position operates during the day shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Stocking:

  • Count and verify products against packing lists.
  • Accurately receive products using RF scanning technology in accordance with established procedures.
  • Document and report any shortages or damages.
  • Organize and stage items for stocking or shipping.
  • Load, unload, and move products as per delivery instructions or supervisor directives.
  • Ensure proper placement of products in designated storage locations.
  • Rotate and replenish stock as necessary.

Picking and Packing:

  • Utilize RF scanning equipment to accurately pull orders, confirming locations and part numbers against the pick list.
  • Achieve a minimum picking rate of 20 lines per hour.
  • Stage pulled orders in the correct areas for shipping.
  • Report inventory discrepancies to lead associates for further investigation.

Additional Duties:

  • Complete necessary paperwork related to the receipt, storage, or distribution of materials.
  • Maintain general warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Take precautions to protect warehouse contents from damage or loss.
  • Foster positive working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Cross-train and provide support for fellow warehouse associates as needed.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections prior to use.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure work areas are organized and secure.
  • Uphold AMECO's standards for productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year of general warehouse experience is required.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, stock picker, and electronic pallet jack safely.
  • Experience with barcode scanners and computer systems.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Dependable with a strong attendance record.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.

Certifications and Licenses: Previous experience operating a forklift and stock picker is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Physical Demands: The physical requirements of this position include frequent lifting, standing, walking, and engaging in repetitive motions. Employees must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The role is physically demanding and requires good hand-eye coordination.

Work Environment: This position is situated in a warehouse/distribution setting. Employees will often work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. The work pace is fast, and employees may experience some stress to meet deadlines. Conditions may include exposure to heat, noise, and humidity.

Travel/Other Requirements: Availability for after-hours emergency calls and overtime as needed based on workload.
