Job Overview

AMECO is seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Technician to contribute to our distribution operations. This role involves a variety of warehouse tasks focused on the receipt, shipment, storage, and distribution of products, as well as maintaining the overall organization of the warehouse. Dependability is essential in our collaborative environment, and candidates should be prepared to work overtime as necessary. This position operates during the day shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Stocking:

  • Accurately count and verify products against packing lists.
  • Receive products using RF scanning technology and follow established procedures.
  • Document and report any shortages or damages.
  • Organize and stage items for stocking or shipping processes.
  • Load and unload products according to delivery documents or supervisor instructions.
  • Ensure proper placement of stock in designated locations.
  • Rotate and replenish inventory as needed.

Picking and Packing:

  • Utilize RF scanning devices to accurately pull orders, verifying locations and part numbers.
  • Achieve a minimum picking rate of 20 lines per hour.
  • Stage completed orders in the appropriate areas for distribution.
  • Report inventory discrepancies to supervisory staff for further investigation.

Additional Duties:

  • Complete necessary paperwork related to inventory management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse.
  • Implement precautions to safeguard warehouse contents from damage or loss.
  • Foster positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in cross-training and assist colleagues as needed.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections prior to use.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
  • Ensure work areas are organized and secure.
  • Uphold AMECO's standards for productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year of general warehouse experience is required.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, stock pickers, and electronic pallet jacks safely.
  • Familiarity with barcode scanners and computer systems.
  • Strong mathematical skills and aptitude.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Dependable with a strong attendance record.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.

Certifications: Valid forklift and stock picker operating licenses are required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Physical Demands: This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform various tasks, including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods. Employees must regularly lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment: The position is set in a warehouse/distribution center, requiring both independent work and teamwork. Employees may experience exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and humidity.

Travel/Other Requirements: Availability for after-hours emergency calls and overtime as needed based on workload.
