Operating Room Surgical Aide

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Operating Room Surgical Aide to join our team in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist our nursing staff in the Operating Room. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment, transporting patients, and assisting with patient care tasks. If you are a team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport patients to and from the Operating Room and other locations.
- Assist nursing staff with patient care tasks, including positioning and transfer of anesthetized patients.
- Perform between-case cleaning to minimize turnaround between surgical procedures.
- Check and maintain inventory levels of specified stock items in the Operating Room.
- Deliver specimens and blood products to the Laboratory or Radiology as directed by nursing personnel.
- Clean and maintain Operating Room equipment according to established infection control policies and procedures.
- Run errands as needed and directed by registered professional nurse and/or charge nurse.
- Collaborate with other members of the surgical team to ensure each Operating Room is clean and all equipment is in place.
- Perform shave prep on surgical patients as directed, according to established guidelines.
- Maintain order and cleanliness in the CSR2 Soiled room.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPR training required.
- Satisfactory references.
