Senior Financial Analyst

Mattel is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning team in El Segundo, CA.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in supporting the financial management of Mattel's largest divisions. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and forecasting financial plans and quarterly forecasts for the consolidated Company.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of financial plans and quarterly forecasts for the consolidated Company
- Consolidate, analyze, and summarize monthly financial results for the Company against the plan, forecasts, and prior results
- Develop short- and long-range financial targets for the total Company, including specific regional targets
- Effectively communicate business performance through in-depth analysis of the P&L, including Sales, cost of sales, gross margin, A&P, SG&A, and EBITDA
- Participate in strategic initiatives that focus on efficient utilization of resources and require in-depth financial analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with subsidiaries and other internal finance organizations for key inputs to the financial planning and forecasting process
- Evaluate business problems and build quantitative models to support business decisions
- Represent the Finance point-of-view at cross-functional meetings with business units
- Support weekly performance forecasting and reporting of key business metrics
- Coordinate with markets to understand the state of the business and key factors that impact the business
- BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- CPA or MBA preferred
- 5+ years' experience in financial/P&L analysis
- Advanced analytical and quantitative modeling skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in all other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to quickly gain proficiency in new/multiple financial systems
- Oracle GL/Project Accounting and Hyperion Financial Management experience preferred
