CESO is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of engineering design technical assignments for small to large projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop design approaches, concepts, and standards under the supervision of the Engineer of Record from concept through completion.
- Perform calculations and design engineering systems in collaboration with internal staff.
- Prepare intermediate to advanced system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and schedules.
- Review shop drawings and equipment submittals for conformance to plan documents and project specifications.
- Prepare and modify studies, plans, reports, specifications, and designs for projects as directed.
- Apply local, state, and federal regulations.
- Adapt engineering information, codes, and standards into the project designs.
- Visit project sites to verify existing conditions and/or observe construction progress.
- Communicate design requirements with architects, contractors, and equipment manufacturer representatives to determine project scope and feasibility.
- Support engineers and project managers in daily planning, coordination, and completion of projects.
- Review work for technical accuracy and completeness prior to QA / QC review.
- Maintain a proficient understanding of industry standards and regulations.
- Attend internal and external meetings.
- Other project duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college and 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineering license (PE) required.
- Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) and certification as an EIT with a state licensure board required.
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, AEC industry, codes, and standards.
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Revu, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and other industry software as required.
