Position Summary
The core responsibilities of this role encompass collaborating closely with business leaders, stakeholders, and the IT development team to pinpoint and evaluate discrepancies between business needs and IT system capabilities. This position involves engaging in solution design processes to refine and promote best practices within Accel's IT framework, providing training assistance to business stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs), supporting technology implementations through end-user assistance, facilitating quality assurance testing, participating in change management initiatives, and contributing to various other areas as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess business requirements alongside design teams to identify technological solutions that address business challenges, enhance process efficiency, and positively influence financial outcomes.
- Engage with end users, stakeholders, and leadership to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
- Document business processes in detail using outlines, flowcharts, and process diagrams.
- Identify and document customer process challenges, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist end users and stakeholders in identifying and reporting production system issues.
- Collaborate with project sponsors and contribute throughout the project lifecycle, including discovery, requirement refinement, solution design, testing, and deployment.
- Work with the IT team to create, develop, and implement cohesive integrations across multiple applications and platforms.
- Identify and analyze discrepancies between business requirements and platform/application functionalities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert representing IT solutions in managing system and process modifications.
- Conduct training sessions with selected stakeholders and SMEs to ensure successful deployment of technology solutions.
- Partner with business and IT resources to design user experiences that fulfill the needs of both internal and external customers.
- Create simple wireframes and visuals to complement written requirements.
- Translate technical jargon into accessible language for business stakeholders.
- Perform configurations, generate reports and dashboards, and manage other configurable items within Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds.
- Develop software platform automations using available tools and features.
- Provide support for NetSuite, Salesforce, and Workday end users as needed.
- Coordinate with vendor support for incidents involving third-party applications.
- Prepare or contribute to system design documentation.
- Conduct data hygiene and de-duplication tasks for Accel's business operations.
- Analyze and execute mass data import requests.
- Participate in refining requirements to ensure a quality product.
- Assist with the release and deployment of features to production instances of NetSuite, Salesforce, and Workday.
- Act as a consulting SME to fellow IT personnel.
- Adhere to Agile project management methodologies and engage in project refinement sessions, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Accel Entertainment's business processes and systems while enhancing knowledge of the platforms utilized to support operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Technology and/or IT teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst role.
- Extensive experience collaborating with end users and executive leadership to gather and analyze business needs.
- Experience in business process support and/or end-user support.
- Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with both IT peers and business stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage multiple priorities and workflows.
- Adaptability and willingness to work within a dynamic environment.
- Preferred: Experience with large-scale implementations and organizations (150+ users).
- Preferred: Familiarity with Agile project delivery methods.
- Preferred: Certification in at least one of the following major software platforms: NetSuite, Salesforce, or Workday.
- Preferred: Experience in translating business requirements into technology solutions using declarative methods.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Proficiency in calculating figures and amounts.
- Capability to analyze data for trends and errors and transfer data between systems.
- Frequent use of hand and finger dexterity.
- Continual requirement to communicate effectively.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision for computer work.
- Regular office attendance is required.
