St. James Surgery Center is in search of a registered nurse to join our exceptional team of eye care specialists. As the surgical center affiliated with Koch Eye Associates, a Claris Vision Company, we take pride in delivering top-tier ophthalmology services to Rhode Island and the broader New England region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative stages.
  • Anticipate the needs of patients and the surgical team, providing services that adhere to professional nursing standards while ensuring a safe environment.
  • Engage in patient education and demonstrate leadership by collaborating with ancillary staff to uphold professional nursing standards.
  • Work closely with the operating room team, including anesthesia providers, surgeons, and surgical technologists.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current licensure in Rhode Island.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Preferred experience in operating room or PACU/Critical Care settings.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, stoop, walk, and lift as necessary.
  • Capability to see, hear, and communicate effectively to perform assigned tasks.
  • Ability to travel independently to various facilities.
