Position Overview: Senior Accountant - Corporate Accounting

This role is integral to the Elanco Corporate Accounting and Reporting (ECAR) team, which plays a vital part in communicating the financial narrative of Elanco through its fiscal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute various tasks during the corporate closing process, including overseeing and reconciling intercompany and intracompany transactions, preparing journal entries related to investment value changes, and generating reconciliations for significant accounts while supporting the monthly closing and SOX compliance efforts.
  • Deliver precise and timely accounting support to affiliates and business partners.
  • Assist in the rollout of a new consolidation system (OneStream).
  • Drive continuous enhancements in corporate governance protocols and controls.
Qualifications Required:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in finance or public accounting, with a strong understanding of US GAAP/IFRS accounting standards.
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant candidate.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient in effective communication and collaboration with global teams across various functions to deliver high-quality results.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with SAP S4 HANA ERP and/or OneStream for consolidations and reporting.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving abilities.
Additional Information:
  • Travel: less than 10%.
  • Flexibility required during peak closing periods.
  • Overtime may be necessary based on business demands, particularly during quarter-end and year-end closings.
