Sales Manager

Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking a Sales Manager to join Graduate Tempe and its team of hospitality enthusiasts.

Key Responsibilities
Drive customer loyalty to grow share of the account by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience
Manage business travel accounts to maximize business potential
Negotiate group business, guest room rates, meeting room rental, and hotel services within assigned markets to meet or exceed hotel revenue goals
Ensure all pertinent aspects of solicitation, closing, and customer communications are complete and documented
Maintain existing accounts with an active trace/follow-up system
Ensure accurate and complete use of the sales system per SOP, including recording all bookings and lost business
Identify and solicit new accounts from telemarketing, appointments, site tours, cold calls, and inquiries via email, phone, and in-person interactions
Develop, maintain, and prospect a Target List of accounts and communicate updates to DOS
Detail BEOs with clients for groups with meeting space and distribute with appropriate staff
Conduct pre- and post-conference meetings when agreeable with the client
Attend property-specific receptions to generate leads and interact with customers
Organize and execute local area blitzes
Implement special promotions relating to sales segment
Establish relationships with local businesses and organizations and be an active member in local industry associations
Build relationships with competitors in like roles to stay apprised of trends in the market and industry, and supply changes
Consistently meet or exceed sales goals, including predetermined revenue and sales activity

Requirements
High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred
Prior sales experience preferred
Strong analytical skills relative to impact on hotel revenues
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Strong understanding of revenue management principles
Ability to use reservation and revenue management systems to develop pricing and sales recommendations
