Community Corrections Officer 3

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Corrections Officer 3 to join our team at the Washington State Department of Corrections. As a Community Corrections Officer 3, you will play a critical role in ensuring public safety and promoting rehabilitation in our communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise individuals who have committed a crime and have been ordered to supervision in the community in accordance with Washington State law, Interstate Compact Rules/Regulations, and agency policy.
- Enforce supervision conditions and the law.
- Lead other Community Corrections Officers.
- Act as the Unit Duty Officer.
- Armed staff must have the ability to carry and properly utilize a department-issued firearm.
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the US Department of Education, or foreign equivalent.
- Two years as a Community Corrections Officer within the Washington State Department of Corrections.
- Three years of professional work experience in adult or juvenile corrections, counseling, social work, social service, or law enforcement or closely related field which includes at least three of the following: making field visits, preparing written correspondence, reports, and/or documents, presenting cases in court or hearings.
