Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at CHI St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our surgical team.

Certification and Experience

Candidates must be certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in either Ortho/Neuro or General/Robotics surgical cases is required.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments as needed.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with rotating 8-hour shifts, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Call requirements include 1-2 times per week, with a 15-minute response time and 8-hour reprieve shifts for post-call.

Unit Specific Information

Our General/Robotics OR features 12 operating rooms, 1 Endo Suite, and 1 Cysto Suite. Common cases include Davinci XI for General/GYN/Urology and ION robotic cases. The Ortho/Neuro OR specializes in spinal fusions, cervical and lumbar cases, and cranial procedures.
