Imaging Specialist Reg-Computed Tomography-Interventional

UnityPoint Health is seeking a skilled Imaging Specialist Reg-Computed Tomography-Interventional to join our team. As a key member of our Interventional Radiology team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures on patients of all ages. This role requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis and for assuming responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
Responsibilities:
Perform quality diagnostic procedures, general as well as surgical, portable, and tomography.
Be proficient in CT and provide and use radiation protection devices and techniques in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
Display working knowledge of job requirements and maintain radiographic quality.
Position patients and equipment accurately and manipulate techniques to ensure high-quality images.
Correctly document required information in the computerized information system (RIS) and complete exams in a timely fashion.
Assist radiologists and/or physicians in specific procedures, patient care, and other duties as required.
Apply knowledge of operation and use of diagnostic x-ray machines, processors, and other required equipment and maintain safety.
Requirements:
Hold Permit-to-Practice radiology in the state of Iowa.
Be certified and hold current registration with the A.R.R.T. as a Radiologic Technologist and in CT.
Be able to read and write English.
Have 1-2 years of Radiology experience in the hospital environment preferred.
