We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our Interventional Radiology team at UnityPoint Health. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures on patients of all ages, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities- Perform quality diagnostic procedures, general as well as surgical, portable, and tomography, and be proficient in CT.
- Provide and use radiation protection devices and techniques in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Correctly document required information in the computerized information system (RIS).
- Assist radiologists and/or physicians in specific procedures, patient care, and other duties as required.
- Direct patient flow as to specific room and time, ensuring patients are not delayed unnecessarily for radiology services.
- Holds Permit-to-Practice radiology in the state of Iowa.
- Certified and holds current registration with the A.R.R.T. as a Radiologic Technologist and in CT.
- Ability to assist IR Radiologist with interventional procedures and knowledge to proper post-processing technique to achieve high-optimize images.
