Position Overview

Sanctuary Hospice is expanding and seeking Full-Time State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs) who are dedicated to providing compassionate care to patients in need. As a vital member of our team, you will deliver essential services that enhance the comfort and well-being of our patients.

Work Schedule: Day Shift 8 AM - 4:30 PM

In your role as a Hospice STNA, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care. Your attentive and nurturing disposition will be crucial in maintaining the safety and continuity of care for those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Personalized Care: Implement the tailored care plan to ensure patient comfort and well-being, responding promptly to patient and family requests with compassion.
  • Assist with Personal Care: Aid patients with personal hygiene, bathing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort during these intimate tasks.
  • Commit to Exceptional Customer Service: Strive for optimal patient satisfaction through outstanding care and service.
  • Support Families: Provide guidance and support to families, helping them care for their loved ones during challenging times.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure meticulous documentation of care provided, adhering to agency and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Completion of a State-approved STNA program with a current, unencumbered certification.
  • Preferred: Minimum one (1) year of experience as a STNA in an acute care or long-term care setting; hospice experience is a plus.
  • Current CPR certification as mandated by state regulations.
