Job Summary

Queen City Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Hospice Admissions Specialist. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for performing pre-admission evaluations, educating patients and families about our services, and providing nursing assessments and care plans to optimize patient comfort and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough pre-admission evaluations to determine the appropriateness of hospice services for patients.
  • Initiate the admission process by educating patients and families about our services, benefits, and what to expect.
  • Obtain informed consent from patients and families.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans that prioritize patient comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
  • Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • 1 year of hospice experience preferred.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
