Job Title: MEDITECH Application Manager

CereCore is seeking a highly skilled MEDITECH Application Manager to join our team in Savannah, GA.

Job Summary:

The MEDITECH Application Manager will be responsible for the installation, operation, and ongoing support of inpatient software applications that directly support operations. This includes working closely with the Director of Information Services to establish work priorities and making staff assignments as appropriate to meet the requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for installation, operation, and ongoing support for Meditech Expanse and other software applications that directly support the operations.
  • Works closely with the Director of Information Services to establish work priorities and makes staff assignments as appropriate to meet the requirements.
  • Serves as a project manager on all assigned projects to ensure all projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Oversees the work of Application Support Analysts, Senior Application Support Analysts, and other staff as assigned to this section.
  • Ensures that all software applications are maintained and supported at an acceptable level for all users.
  • Identifies, documents, and resolves or reports software problems to software vendors as appropriate for resolution.
  • Tracks and follows up on all outstanding issues timely; escalates problem resolution to the Director as appropriate.
  • Customizes systems and recommends changes to applications and/or workflow processes as appropriate and consistent with user input and job requirements.
  • Focus is proactive to anticipate and meet user needs while adhering to the Strategic Information Systems Plan.
  • Assures that staff adheres to Department policies, procedures, and job assignments.
  • Provides expertise and guidance in the area of research, evaluation, and selection of new computer software as required.
  • Works closely with the Director of Information Services and VP/CIO to plan for new software applications in support of the Strategic Information Systems Plan.
  • Assists in developing the annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Directly responsible for operating within the annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Maintains open communications with System VPs and Directors to provide expert advice on the selection, implementation, and operation of computer software.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or healthcare-related field preferred OR equivalent work experience or combination of college and specialized training in supporting MEDITECH applications.
  • Three to five years' experience in MEDITECH Application Support and Team Leadership.
  • Must have MEDITECH Expanse experience.
  • Successful completion of specialized training on Microsoft Windows operating system, Microsoft Office applications, and MEDITECH application software.
  • Specialized training in application Report Writer, dictionary maintenance, and screen development required.
  • Must have strong documentation skills, organization skills, and the ability to interact with team members cross-functionally.
  • Intermediate to expert ability to work in Office suite products: Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Creates deliverables independently.
  • Provides coaching and technical and functional guidance on specific project deliverables.
  • Leads in communicating requirements to development, testing, education, and training teams.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • A sense of responsibility and accountability; someone who takes ownership and initiative.
