Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MEDITECH Application Manager to join our team in Savannah, GA. As a key member of our customer's IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our EHR system and providing exceptional support to our users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Support
    • Provide timely and effective support to users, resolving issues and answering questions related to the EHR system.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Information Services to establish work priorities and make staff assignments as needed.
  • Project Management
    • Serve as a project manager on all assigned projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget.
    • Oversee the work of Application Support Analysts, Senior Application Support Analysts, and other staff as assigned to this section.
  • System Maintenance
    • Ensure that all software applications are maintained and supported at an acceptable level for all users.
    • Identify, document, and resolve or report software problems to software vendors as appropriate for resolution.
  • Customization and Improvement
    • Customize systems and recommend changes to applications and/or workflow processes as appropriate and consistent with user input and job requirements.
    • Focus on proactive measures to anticipate and meet user needs while adhering to the Strategic Information Systems Plan.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Provide expertise and guidance in the area of research, evaluation, and selection of new computer software as required.
    • Work closely with the Director of Information Services and VP/CIO to plan for new software applications in support of the Strategic Information Systems Plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a healthcare-related field preferred OR equivalent work experience or combination of college and specialized training in supporting MEDITECH applications.
  • Three to five years' experience in MEDITECH Application Support and Team Leadership.
  • MEDITECH Expanse experience required.
  • Specialized training in application Report Writer, dictionary maintenance, and screen development required.
  • Strong documentation skills, organization skills, and the ability to interact with team members cross-functionally.
  • Intermediate to expert ability to work in Office suite products: Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to create deliverables independently and provide coaching and technical and functional guidance on specific project deliverables.
  • Good organization skills and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • A sense of responsibility and accountability, with a proactive approach to anticipating and meeting user needs.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, methods, and processes.
  • Respect for diversity of experience, characteristics, viewpoints, and opinions.
