Job Summary:

As a House Attendant-Lobby Associate at Marriott Palmetto Resort & Spa, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our public areas. This includes deep cleaning assigned spaces, setting up and maintaining complimentary hotel lobby functions, and delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain public areas, including floors, carpets, and furniture, to ensure a high level of cleanliness and appearance.
  • Set up and maintain complimentary hotel lobby functions, including coffee service and concierge events.
  • Deliver service items to guest rooms upon request from the front desk.
  • Drive shuttle van when needed, ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests.
  • Perform deep cleaning of assigned areas, including meeting rooms and public restrooms.
  • Handle requests for luggage assistance at check-in and check-out, providing a friendly and efficient service.
  • Practice safe work habits to ensure the safety of guests, fellow associates, and self.
  • Handle items for 'Lost and Found' according to company standards.
  • Turn in all keys and assignment sheets to the Housekeeping or Front Office at the end of the shift.
  • Complete daily assignment checklist and submit to supervisor at the end of the day.
  • Be familiar with company policies and house rules.
  • Ensure that associates are attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and other associates.
  • Put all equipment away properly after usage according to company standards.
  • Have knowledge of and assist in all emergency procedures during the overnight shift.
  • Clean and dust floors daily according to company standards.
  • Maintain hotel equipment in proper working order.
  • Maintain storage of hotel equipment in proper areas.
  • Clean guestrooms as needed.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Attend meetings as required by management.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable State and an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving record).
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
