Company Overview: Request Technology, LLC is a distinguished enterprise seeking a Lead Windows Virtual Machine Systems Administrator. The selected candidate will oversee the comprehensive management and support of systems and software, ensuring optimal performance and availability for business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the system environment, ensuring it is properly patched and configured.
  • Collaborate with administrative teams to uphold standards, maintain documentation, and manage configurations.
  • Proactively monitor system capacity, performance, and utilization to mitigate potential business disruptions.
  • Provide support for the systems and environments under your purview.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience in a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in infrastructure administration, particularly with hardware and software technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Proficient in diagnosing system issues and implementing resolutions.
  • Experience with ITIL principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation with languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience with version control systems like GitHub.
  • Familiarity with patch management solutions, specifically Microsoft SCCM (MECM).
  • Experience managing large-scale Microsoft Windows server environments.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems support.
  • Familiarity with VMware and Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like SolarWinds and MS SCOM.
  • Experience with load balancers such as F5 or NetScaler.
  • Familiarity with identity governance administration tools.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Staying updated on emerging technologies through training and development.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements within administrative functions.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation for system support.
  • Providing timely updates on work progress and issues.
  • Enhancing service delivery to business partners.
  • Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to drive cost efficiency and productivity.
  • Documenting system landscapes and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  • Communicating effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Monitoring system performance and addressing issues proactively.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to develop operational documentation.
