Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at UW Health. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of our patients by processing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to ensure they are safe for patient use
  • Work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and maintain high levels of productivity
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective processing of instruments and equipment
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and quality by identifying and reporting any issues or concerns
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferred certification as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
