Job Summary

M/I Homes is seeking a skilled Title Coordinator/Closer to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for coordinating the new home start process, verifying sales documents, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of scheduled homebuyer closings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile, review, and analyze sales documents for residential single-family homebuilder.
  • Obtain, review, and verify necessary closing documents to coordinate and ensure timely and accurate completion of scheduled homebuyer closings.
  • Verify sales pricing for accuracy and process new home sales contracts.
  • Perform data entry to computer system for new customer information and revisions.
  • Coordinate web pricing, MLS, NSO's verifying pricing, missing addendums, deposit schedules, and letters.
  • Prepare job/nonjob deposits for the division by assisting in the scanning and processing of checks.
  • May prepare or make sales contract deposits to the bank.
  • Obtain closing documents; update and maintain customer files to include surveys, certifications, loan approvals, and deeds as well as prepare closing briefcases.
  • Perform computer data entry of information and prepare appropriate reports as required.
  • Schedule, organize, and monitor pre-settlement dates, closing appointments, and required builder documents with appropriate internal departments as well as with title and mortgage companies.
  • Provide necessary information and documentation for property appraisers.
  • Verify and record home buyer deposits; compile and copy final closing document packages.
  • Perform miscellaneous routine administrative functions to assist the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and sales consultants in daily workflow.

Requirements
  • High school graduate with at least one year of related work experience and/or training.
  • General knowledge of home building industry within scope of sales contracts and administrative functions.
  • General office and administrative skills to assist in the processing of departmental workflow.
  • Good working knowledge of CRM, word processing, and spreadsheet software packages.
