Job Title: Caregiver Specialist

About the Role

Bethany House of Nassau County Corp is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of Caregiver Specialist. In this position, you will provide care and support to our residents, promoting a safe and stable living environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating healthy adult behaviors and values.
  • Orient new residents to house activities, regulations, and responsibilities.
  • Supervise daily activities, ensuring the well-being and safety of residents.
  • Prepare and serve evening meals, interacting with guests during meals and snack times.
  • Clean up kitchen and dining areas after use.
  • Instruct and supervise residents in household maintenance and organization.
  • Provide informal support and encouragement to residents, addressing challenges and difficulties.
  • Protect residents' rights, privacy, and dignity at all times.
  • Develop and implement daily activities to prepare residents for independent living.

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent required; additional education preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of word processing software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
